Edgar Wright’s follow-up to Baby Driver is finally shooting and it has a cool new title treatment.

Last Night In Soho is the writer-director’s new project, described as a “psychological thriller” in the vein of Don’t Look Now and Repulsion. Wright co-wrote the movie with Penny Dreadful scribe Krysty Wilson-Cairns. While plot details are being kept on the DL, we do finally have a title treatment to look at:

Wright has always wanted to make a movie about central London, and now he is finally getting his chance. In an interview with Empire Magazine, the filmmaker said: “I realized I had never made a film about central London — specifically Soho, somewhere I’ve spent a huge amount of time in the last 25 years. With Hot Fuzz and Shaun of the Dead, you make movies about places you’ve lived in. This movie is about the London I’ve existed in.”

Once Wright wraps and releases Soho, there’s a good chance he may turn his attention to Baby Driver 2. A first draft of the movie currently exists, and Wright tells Empire it “introduces a whole swath of new characters following the original’s high body-count.” It’s up to studio Sony Pictures if and when they want to move forward with the sequel.

Baby Driver was one of the best movies of 2017, and it quickly became popular amongst Film Twitter and movie fans alike. Anticipation is scary-high for Wright’s follow-up and, judging by the vague details we know so far about SoHo, it looks like the director has another must-see original movie on his hands.

Last Night In Soho, which stars Anya Taylor-Joy (Split), is expected to arrive in theaters sometime in 2020.
