Lionsgate dropped the much-anticipated trailer for Chaos Walking today and the internet has exploded with excitement. As well they should have – it’s a good one:

Based on the best-selling YA sci-fi novel The Knife of Never Letting Go by Patrick Ness, the dystopian story tells of a world that has gone wrong. Tom Holland stars as Todd Hewitt, a young man growing up in a world in which the women have all disappeared and all the men can hear and see each other’s thoughts in a stream known as Noise. Todd leaves his home and sets out on his own, only to discover something enormous: A girl named Viola (Daisy Ridley), who has been in hiding and possesses an incredible power that might be the key to unlocking the secrets of Todd’s damaged world. Together, they must hide and survive to escape the men who would use them both for evil purposes.

Fans everywhere have been cheering the movie finally hitting theaters this January and there’s some great fan art to go along with the movie already. We thought we’d round up some of those pieces and give them some love. Here we go:

As you can tell from some of the posts, the movie has been a long time coming after delayed reshoots and being bumped back by a few years. But it’s finally hitting theaters early next year and we honestly can’t wait – even if Daisy Ridley and Tom Holland are a little more baby-faced than we’re used to.

And if the trailer and fan art have you hyped but you’ve never read the books and aren’t sure what the story is about, no worries. We’ve got you covered with our piece on everything you need to know about Chaos Walking.
