The Oscars’ annual In Memoriam sequence is never easy to watch, even among all the best moments. That difficulty can come from the touching song (this year performed by Billie Ellish and Finneas), or simply mourning over those we’ve lost over the year. Either way, it’s always a little more emotion than any of us were ready for.
