For 35 years, The Terminator has dined out on his promise of “I’ll be back.” This fall, he makes good on it once again.

Terminator: Dark Fate, the sixth film in James Cameron’s unending franchise, is set to arrive this November from Paramount Pictures, and, just in time for the studio’s CinemaCon presentation, we have some new images from the sci-fi rebootquel.

Linda Hamilton is back in her iconic role of Sarah Connor, with Dark Fate pulling a 2018 Halloween by being a sequel to the first two Cameron-directed Terminator movies and pretending the other sequels (RIP, Genisys) didn’t exist. The movie will pick up with Connor after the events of 1991’s T2. Also back for more Skynet-sanctioned havoc is Arnold Schwarzenegger, reprising the role of the T-800 Terminator  — albeit this time with more grey hair and a cool beard to go with some scarred-over battle damage.

Deadpool director Tim Miller is behind the camera this time around, with a story co-written by Cameron — which helps put the fans at ease after the misfires of previous sequels going back to 2003. The current state of the franchise is not lost on Miller, who recently told IGN in an interview that bringing the original characters back together from the first two Terminator installments was key:

“What makes or breaks a movie is whether I care about the characters when everything starts exploding,” Miller said. “And the fact that Linda came back makes this particular Terminator fresh, this story could only continue with her in the role of Sarah Conner. That’s the most important thing for me. Linda reinvented this character in a way that both honors who she was before and brings something new to the role.”

Little is known about Dark Fate‘s plot, other than some of the movie is set in Los Angeles and will follow a new Terminator played by Gabriel Luna. Mackenzie Davis, Natalia Reyes, and Diego Boneta also star.
