Y’all know the drill with the Arrowverse by now. There ya go.

‘Snowpiercer’ Series Trailer

After years in development hell (and quite a bit of controversy), the long-awaited Snowpiercer series is finally happening for TBS. The panel for the upcoming series brought the first trailer and so far, it looks slick and high-concept. The same team behind the visuals for Orphan Black are doing the FX for this series, and so far, so good. The series stars Jennifer Connelly as Melanie Cavill, the leader of the rich, privileged passengers at the front of the train, and Daveed Diggs as Andre Layton, de facto leader of the poor “scums” at the back of the train. No idea if this will hew more closely to Bong Joon-ho’s movie version or the original graphic novel (Le Transperceneige) by Jacques Lob, but considering it’s a series, we can likely expect a bit more of the latter while still doing its own thing.

HBO’s ‘Westworld’ Season 3 Trailer

HBO’s other powerhouse series, Westworld, returns for its hugely-anticipated third season. Giant shift here with jumping to Los Angeles after the collapse of the park, and Dolores appears to be this season’s Big Bad. Other than that, that’s all I’ve got. I admittedly fell off Westworld in the second season so I have no idea what’s going on here. For those of you still watching, explain to me what’s happening!

‘Star Trek: Picard’ Series Trailer

CBS All Access is really going all-in on its Star Trek content, much to the delight of Trekkies everywhere. Current series Star Trek: Discovery has won wild praise from some longtime Star Trek fans, and derision from others. But upcoming series Star Trek: Picard, which will (duh) follow the adventures of Captain Jean-Luc Picard, looks to please everyone.

This trailer has some surprises in store: Data is back! So is Seven-of-Nine! How could you ever go wrong with Sir Patrick Stewart? You can’t.

‘Star Trek: Short Treks’ Miniseries Trailer

Just like last year, CBS All Access is doing another season of Short Treks. Last season, each mini, standalone episode delved into the backstory of one Star Trek: Discovery character. This six-episode season will be a little different, with at least one of the episodes tying into the upcoming Star Trek: Picard series and two of them being animated.

Interesting to note this trailer reveals that both Spock and Captain Pike will be back – will they find their way back to Discovery?

HBO’s The Watchmen Series Trailer

The trailer for HBO’s upcoming Watchmen series looks to be exceptionally true to the comics, with a modern-day absurdist bent. Quite heavy on Rorschach and his army here. Original comic creator Alan Moore himself once said that Rorschach is not to be admired or seen as a hero. Let’s hope his mask isn’t adopted by sketchy internet trolls for the wrong reasons, as unfortunately befell V for Vendetta.

From Friday:

Netflix’s The Witcher Series Teaser Trailer

I don’t know about you, but I think this looks great. Showrunner Lauren Hissrich recently explained The Witcher would not be an adaptation of the video games, but rather of the original books, and it shows. Yennefer and Ciri appear to be getting quite a bit more fleshed-out backstory than have in the games, creating a dysfunctional family dynamic with Geralt of Rivia. I like Henry Cavill but was skeptical of his casting, no matter how much of a fan he is of the video games. Still, from everything we’ve seen so far from this series, I’m fully prepared to embrace him in the role.

Untitled The Walking Dead Movie Teaser Trailer

Not only did we get a ton of news about the tenth season of The Walking Dead, but we also got a quick tease of the upcoming movie from AMC and Universal. Rick Grimes is back, baby! Now we finally get to find out what happened to him when he left Alexandria.

And, uh…well that’s about it, really. When I say a “teaser,” I really mean a teaser in the truest sense of the word. It’s only half a minute long and shows a helicopter (presumably Rick’s) flying toward a city, with the promise that Rick Grimes will return. Still, get excited TWD fans. The Walking Dead has for a long time been a cinematic style series that would adapt well to the big screen. Now, it’s finally happening. Epic.

The Walking Dead Season 10 Trailer

It’s been confirmed. Comic book story arc ‘The Whisperer War’ will finally be adapted for the series in the upcoming season. Watchers and readers know the Whisperers as a primitive, bloodthirsty tribe of survivors who wear the skins of walkers in order to get around. They’ve been a thorn in the side of the Hilltop and Alexandria communities for a while now, and after an act that can’t be taken back, war breaks out between the Whisperers and everyone else.

The action from the intense trailer promises all-out, medieval-style warfare between the communities and the skin-wearing Whisperers, right down to shields and swords. TWD will almost certainly continue beyond Season 10, but if the series were to wrap after bringing the Whisperer War to the screen, it would be a solid end to the decade-long show.

Rick & Morty SDCC Exclusive Clip

No, your ears don’t deceive you – that is, in fact, Thor: Ragnarok director Taika Waititi voicing hapless alien intern Clootie in this SDCC exclusive clip. It’s the first clip we’ve gotten in years for Rick & Morty, which hasn’t had a new season since 2017. That’s practically a Game of Thrones-length wait between the third and fourth seasons. The fourth season, which will air this fall, will be 10 episodes long and will feature voice talent including Waititi, Kathleen Turner, and Paul Giamatti, among others.

No season trailer yet, but that should be coming shortly. For now, enjoy the clip.

21 Bridges Trailer

STX Entertainment’s upcoming movie about a disgraced NYPD cop who gets a shot at redemption dropped a new trailer. The Russo Bros (who are producers on the movie) brought it with them to their panel discussing their independent production company, AGBO, and their upcoming projects.

This one will see the longtime MCU directors reteaming with their Black Panther, Chadwick Boseman, who is in the lead role. We don’t know a lot about the movie yet, but with the Russos producing, it should at the very least be a solid action-thriller flick.

Creepshow Series Trailer

If you were a product of the ’80s, then you might remember the Creepshow movies, horror anthologies from the mind of Stephen King. Like a zombie, it’s being resurrected, this time as a series for horror streaming platform Shudder. Stephen King himself is involved and The Walking Dead‘s Greg Nicotero is involved, so you know the stories and the practical effects are gonna be crazy good. If you don’t already have Shudder, what are you waiting for? This series alone is worth a subscription.

From Thursday:

His Dark Materials Series Trailer

I have to be honest, I’m an enormous fan of Phillip Pullman’s His Dark Materials trilogy and have read it multiple times, so I’m maybe a little biased here. But I think even those who haven’t read the books would agree this trailer is absolutely epic. Sometimes you can just tell when a series or movie is shaping up to be something special, and this has all those signs. Could it be HBO’s next Game of Thrones, the new sweeping dark fantasy epic to replace their cash cow? It’s definitely a possibility, especially as it’s been revealed there are already plans for a second season.

Terminator: Dark Fate Featurette

Okay, this isn’t a trailer, but it is a featurette that Paramount showed during the SDCC panel. I think we can all agree the last few Terminator movies were…regrettable. Luckily, Tim Miller’s movie, from everything we’ve seen, seems to be both a direct sequel to Terminator 2: Judgment day both spiritually and continuity-wise. The action in this featurette is sick. And that last shot of Arnold’s T-800 unloading an entire machine gun clip into Gabriel Luna’s evil Terminator’s face and the evil Terminator not even blinking? Chef’s kiss, y’all. Chef’s kiss.

Terminator: Dark Fate is in theaters on November 1, 2019.

CATS Trailer

Love it or hate it, the musical Cats has been around for a bajillion years. The trailer for the adaptation has been insanely anticipated for its “Amazing? Or amazing trainwreck?” potential, and y’all, words fail me here. Is this great? Is it awful? Is it so awful it comes full circle to being amazing? Is my tiny mortal brain simply unable to handle the heights to which Cats strives? Do I definitely need less caffeine and more sleep? YES!

Cats is in theaters December 20, 2019.

Top Gun: Maverick Trailer

Thirty-five years later, Maverick doesn’t like playing by the rules but he still feels the need for speed. We don’t know much about the plot yet, but does it even matter? Imagine seeing those flight sequences – which Tom Cruise has assured us are all real – in IMAX. Count. us. in.

Top Gun: Maverick is in theaters on June 26, 2020.

IT: Chapter Two Trailer

Andy Muschietti’s follow-up to the movie that terrified audiences last year looks to be even scarier. In the second half of the two-parter, the now-adult Losers Club return to Derry after learning they didn’t kill Pennywise the Dancing Clown, after all. Their pasts and present collide as they attempt to end him, this time for good. Prepare to never sleep again, y’all.

IT: Chapter Two is in theaters on September 6, 2019.

Jay And Silent Bob Reboot Trailer

Jay and Silent Bob are back and raunchier than ever. Kevin Smith trotted out a star-studded red band trailer for his latest. Seriously, just about every single person in this trailer is A Hollywood Name. Bless Kevin Smith for calling in approximately 2,387 favors for this one, including what appears to be half the Avengers.
