If there’s one thing this pandemic has shown us, it’s that celebrities get as bored in lockdown as the rest of us normies. We’re not going to talk about the infamous celebrity “Imagine” video, but otherwise, actors and other famous types have shown themselves to be just as goofy, just as cabin fevery, and just as desirous to do some good at a time in which most of us still can’t leave our homes with regularity.

A few bits have popped up today that have made us go, “You’re alright, celebs. You’re alright.”

Henry Cavill Building His Own PC Is Your New Sexuality

Regarding that subhead: Sorry, I don’t make the rules. That’s just how it is now. Anyone who knows a bit about Henry Cavill knows he’s a huge gamer. We’re talking huge. He famously missed the call that he’d landed the coveted role of Superman because he was in the middle of a raid in World of Warcraft. He lobbied hard to get the role of Geralt of Rivia when he learned Netflix’s The Witcher series in the works, simply because he’s such a die-hard fan of the video games. His video game nerdery was in full force in a recent video of him building a PC gaming rig from scratch that he posted to Instagram, where his sense of humor has been on display all through quarantine. Hilariously, he set it to Barry White’s “You’re The First, The Last, My Everything” with the cheeky caption: “This kind of material isn’t for everyone….viewer discretion is advised. You may see a lot of parts that you haven’t seen before. #PC #AllTheParts #AllNightLong

It’s not quite “Tony Stark builds an Iron Man Mark I suit out of scraps while trapped in a cave in Afghanistan” levels of ingenuity, but it’s damned good. We’ll take it.

Benedict Cumberbatch Trolls The Paparazzi

Okay, one caveat here before I share this: I saw “Benedict” was trending on Twitter this morning and found this tweet while scrolling through. A quick search reveals these pictures are fairly old, but they’re still hilarious and, hey, we all need a laugh these days. So don’t shame him for not wearing a mask as these were well in the pre-coronavirus days.

One tiny thing that’s a bummer about everyone being in quarantine is that it doesn’t give Benedict Cumberbatch the opportunity to hilariously troll the paparazzi trying to snap pics of him or telling them to do something more useful rather than take pictures of him.

Chris Evans Proves He’s The Best Chris (Again)

Other people may have their own thoughts about who’s the Best Hollywood Chris, but for me, it’s Chris Evans and it always has been. The man is a real-life Captain America, an activist and do-gooder who is constantly trying to use his platform to put some compassion into the world. So this video chat he had with 6-year-old Bridger, who saved his little sister from a dog attack, being badly mauled in the process. The little dude is a huge Captain America fan, and when Evans found out, he hopped on a call with Bridger. Our Captain America had some words for the little boy about his heroism and bravery, and you could see Evans trying not to choke up as he spoke. What a good guy Evans is, and what a brave kid Bridger is.

I’m not crying, YOU’RE crying.

(Just kidding, I’m definitely crying.)
