Get ready for more John Wick.

On the heels of John Wick: Chapter 3 – Parabellum scoring a franchise-best number one opening at the box office over the weekend, Lionsgate has announced that John Wick 4 will hit theaters May 21, 2021.

The release date news was shared with fans who signed up for a special John Wick text messaging notification service prior to the release of the most recent installment, which ended with [HUGE SPOILERS: Stop reading now if you haven’t seen the movie. Still here? Okay, but ya been warned!] John somehow surviving a very bad fall before resolving to (once again) wage war on the High Table.

The two-year wait is gonna be long, especially thanks to Chapter 3 raising the bar for the franchise in just about every level. We hope the fourth movie in one of the best action franchises out there right now explores more with Halle Berry’s character and her combative dynamic with John.

We’re also eager to see how Wick resolves — or doesn’t — his relationship with The Continental’s manager, Winston (Ian McShane). Winston is the primary reason behind John’s tumble off a roof, into a fire escape, and onto city street. Did Winston purposefully, maliciously, intend to do John dirty like that? Or was he trying to kill John to “save” him from further reprisals from the evil assassins guild?

We’ll have to wait until 2021 to find out.
