Netflix may have canceled Iron Fist, but it looks like breakout star Jessica Henwick will land on her feet. Variety reports that Henwick, who also starred as Nymeria Sand in HBO’s Game of Thrones, is set to join the cast of Legendary and Warner Bros.’ upcoming monster smackdown Godzilla vs. Kong.

She’ll be joining a cast that’s already studded with a few notable names, including Stranger Things‘ Millie Bobbie Brown, Alexander Skarsgård, Deadpool 2‘s Julian Dennison, Atlanta‘s Bryan Tyree Henry and Rebecca Hall. Adam Wingard, who has helmed a slew of horror-thrillers including You’re Next, Blair Witch, and The Guest is set to direct. Aside from the cast, not much is known about the kaiju movie at this time aside from the cast and that it will feature the two titanic monsters going at it.

But hype for Legendary’s monster universe has been building since last year when the surprisingly great Kong: Skull Island helped to redeem the franchise from a lukewarm first Godzilla movie. The excitement was stoked again during this year’s San Diego Comic-Con, when fans were treated to a first trailer for Godzilla sequel, Godzilla: King of the Monsters that featured some old school Godzilla foes including Mothra and Rodan.

And the teases are already beginning for the follow-up that will pit pop culture’s most famous giant monsters against one another. Depending on how you interpret his comments, director Adam Wingard has teased that Kong will be getting an updated design for Godzilla vs. Kong. This tracks with comments Kong: Skull Island‘s Samuel L. Jackson made at the time of the movie’s release about King Kong not being fully grown yet in that film. Those thinking the great ape will be an easy win for the giant lizard may want to start placing some underdog bets on Kong.

Judging from the cast being assembled for Godzilla vs. Kong, this movie shaping up to be the kaiju beatdown we’ve always wanted.
