The 92nd annual Academy Awards are fast approaching and it’s time to start preparing now if you want to make sure that you are all caught up by the time the show airs on ABC on Sunday, February 6th at 8:00pm EST/5:00pm PST.

This year’s Oscars have the usual spread of excellent nominees (and some snubs) and we’ve shared a handy recap for all the Best Picture nominees, as well how to watch the Oscar-nominated films and catch up before the Academy Awards.

But if you’re like most people, you won’t be dressing up in your gown or tux and sitting as a celeb or seat filler in the Dolby Theater on Sunday. That means watching the red carpet festivities and the awards from home. Here’s how to watch the 2020 Oscars:

If You’re Here For The Red Carpet…

Admit it, you live to see the gorgeous dresses and fly suits of the talented actors and filmmakers hitting the red carpet. It’s one of the most fun parts of the Oscars, tuning into the red carpet coverage before the show and seeing who’s the best dressed, who brought their A-game (Billy Porter. We all know it’s going to be Billy Porter.) and who needs to absolutely fire their stylist, like, yesterday. Here’s how to watch all those beautiful butterflies strut their stuff on the red carpet starting at 6:30pm EST/3:30pm PST.

LIVE TELEVISION

Watch ABC: Tune in to any ABC channel to catch the official red carpet coverage, Oscars Live on the Red Carpet, starting at 6:30 EST/3:30pm PST.

Watch E!: If you want even more pre-awards coverage, E! will also be covering the red carpet as usual. You can tune into E! starting at 5:00pm EST/2:00pm PST to watch E! Live From the Red Carpet.

STREAMING & DIGITAL

If you don’t have cable or access to a TV, you can also watch the red carpet coverage in a number of ways.

  • ABC Livestream via ABC.com: Red carpet coverage starts at 6:30 EST/3:30pm PST.
  • ABC app via DirecTV Now, Hulu, PlayStation Vue and YouTube TV: Red carpet coverage starts at 6:30 EST/3:30pm PST.
  • Twitter Livestream: The Academy will be streaming red carpet coverage starting at 6:30 EST/3:30pm PST on their Twitter account.
  • Hulu, YouTube TV & AT&T TV Now: If you don’t already have Hulu with Live TV, Hulu offers a 7-day trial. If you don’t already have YouTube TV, YouTube offers a 5-day trial. If you don’t already have AT&T TV Now, AT&T offers a 7-day trial. Just remember to cancel before the trial period is up or you’ll be paying $54.99, $49.99, or $65, respectively.

Also? Make sure to double-check that other unconventional viewing options — like the Academy’s Facebook page (which aired the 2019 red carpet coverage). Plenty of places will be streaming for free or for minimal cost.

If You Want To Watch The Awards Show…

Finally, we get to the awards ceremony, the Super Bowl of the entertainment industry. It’s the biggest night in Hollywood where the Academy crowns who they feel are the most deserving films and most deserving people of the year. It’s never without a bit of controversy or surprise wins, and a handful of great moments in winners’ speeches. Here’s how to watch.
