The Force is strong with this one. Even in Westeros.

Star Wars creator George Lucas dropped by the set of Game of Thrones to help direct the recent Season 8 premiere because he could. Lucas was joined by GoT showrunners David Benioff and D.B. Weiss, and HBO recently offered a glimpse of the filmmaking legend’s visit to the landmark series. Watch it below:

“When we found out George Lucas wanted to visit, we thought maybe it was a practical joke,” Benioff says in the above behind-the-scenes clip. “We were really excited and also nervous because it’s George Lucas.”

Probably adding to Benioff and Weiss’ nerves is the fact that the duo are currently at work on a new Star Wars movie (or a trilogy of them). Their project is rumored to be based on fan-favorite Star Wars RPG Knights of the Old Republic. Lucasfilm President and Star Wars producer Kathleen Kennedy recently confirmed at Star Wars Celebration that Lucasfilm is “developing something to look at” concerning the Old Republic.

What we wouldn’t give to hear the advice Lucas gave them about that galaxy far, far away…

Benioff and Weiss’ project — along with Rian Johnson’s maybe-maybe-not-happening new trilogy — are set to take Star Wars into the future once J.J. Abrams wraps up the current trilogy and the entire Skywalker saga with Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker.

Episode IX arrives in theaters on December 20.
