If you spend any amount of time on the internet (and, hey, even if you don’t), then you likely know that wrestling isn’t just a thing, but a thing. It might not be your thing, and that’s okay, but millions of people tune in regularly to see their favorite wrestlers and divas take each other on in a wild, scripted bout of athletic entertainment.

It was inevitable that eventually, someone would find a way to reach that rabid fanbase by making a wrestling movie, and so they have. Writer-director Stephen Merchant and producer Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson might seem like a strange creative pairing, but they teamed up to make a biopic about WWE superstar Paige’s wild life growing up as a kid in a professional wrestling family and her journey to the ring. The first trailer for Fighting with My Family was released today. Take a look:

The story follows the life of Saraya-Jade Blevis, a.k.a. Raya Knight, who grew up to become wrestling diva Paige of the WWE. As the only daughter born into a professional wrestling family, Raya originally wanted nothing to do with following in her parents’ footsteps, fearing their injuries and disliking that they had to fight other people for a living. But the wrestling bug bit her soon enough, and she stepped into the ring for the first time at the age of 13 in the World Association of Wrestling. She continued fighting over the years until working her way up to the WWE, eventually winning the Diva Championship and becoming the youngest champion in history.

While all her accomplishments are impressive, the movie is focusing on her relationship with her family, a side of the pro wrestler that few have seen. Even if you’re not into wrestling, it looks to be an underdog movie that happens to be about wrestling rather than a wrestling movie that is about an underdog. A family drama with The Rock and a handful of others providing comedic relief? It wouldn’t be a surprise if this one exceeded expectations at the box office.

Fighting with my Family is in theaters on March 1, 2019.
