On the surface, the partnership between pro wrestler turned Hollywood superstar Dwayne Johnson and lanky British funnyman Stephen Merchant might seem like a team-up destined for a reboot of The Odd Couple. But the pair worked closely together to bring wrestling movie Fighting with My Family to life.

Atom Insider has an exclusive, behind-the-scenes featurette exploring just how Merchant got on board with, of all things, directing a wrestling movie – and how he and Johnson got close enough to troll each other as friends.

We don’t know about you, but we kind of want them to do a buddy team-up movie now (sorry, Kevin Hart, this time Stephen will smell what The Rock is cookin’).

Fighting with My Family is the based-on-a-true-story movie of former WWE Diva Paige (real name Saraya-Jade Bevis) who grew up in a wrestling family in England. The movie follows her dreams to become a full member of the WWE and her fight to become one of the organization’s unlikeliest members and youngest champions in history. (Seriously, it’s an amazing story.) It’s getting great reviews so far, and is set to entertain both wrestling fans and movie lovers alike.

The movie is in theaters today for limited release then expands nationwide next week.
