Amazing news: In case you haven’t heard, Atom Tickets has now partnered with Eventbrite to offer local event ticketing! Not sure what to do this weekend after Independence Day festivities on the 4th of July? Not to worry – Atom’s got you covered. You can now search your Atom Tickets app under the Events tab for comedy shows, concerts, wine tastings, fun classes, and more.
We’re rolling it out in three cities to kick things off – Los Angeles, Boston, and Atlanta – and will be expanding to more cities in the coming months.
To help you in your search for cool things and events this holiday weekend, here are our Top 5 best events happening in Boston this weekend (don’t worry, we’re doing one of these for LA and Atlanta, too).
1. 4th of July Lobster Bake

What’s better than celebrating Independence Day with summer in full swing? Celebrating it with lobster, of course. Glass House is celebrating the 4th with a lobster bake, live music, and plenty of lawn games. Signature drinks and drafts, all the summer seafood you could want, games for the kids, and a short walk to watch the Boston Pops Fireworks Spectacular. Kids get in for 10 bucks, adults for $75.
2. Thanks, America! A Comedy Show to Celebrate America’s 243rd Birthday

Nothing is better than laughing. Laughing because you can head to a comedy show and not worry about work the next day is even better. Head to The Jungle for a night full of comedians and laughter to celebrate America’s 243rd birthday (even though she doesn’t look a day over 240). It’s 21-and-up, but tickets are only $6.
3. 7th Boston JerkFest and Wine & Brew Tasting- Caribbean Foodie Festival

I think we can all agree that food is amazing, especially food you don’t normally get to taste. Keep the summer vibes going with Boston’s seventh annual Caribbean food fest. If you’re looking to get your tropical food fix on in a family-friendly atmosphere, head to Haley House on Friday and Saturday for the two-day fest. Tickets run $15-75 and the best part is part of the proceeds will be donated to various local nonprofit organizations.
4. Nantucket Summer Afternoon Tea

Some of you may want a slightly more leisurely-paced, laid-back event after partying for the 4th. How about an afternoon tea? The Mandarin Oriental has reimagined its famed Champagne Afternoon Tea with the summertime twist of Nantucket. Handcrafted teas, finger sandwiches, and pastries, all in a lush setting with a nautical theme.
5. Special Sunday Night Comedy Showcase

Want a great way to wind down the holiday weekend before heading back to work? A comedy showcase on Sunday night is the perfect way to do it. The Comedy Studio has an amazing lineup of talent, along with handcrafted cocktails and plenty of brews. Tickets are only $15, but just a heads-up – seating is assigned.
Check back next week for new updates and events. In the meantime, check out the Events section on your Atom Tickets app!
