The box office is looking good for Once Upon a Time In Hollywood.

Quentin Tarantino’s ninth feature film hit box office tracking and experts predict the July release could net at least $30 million on its opening weekend, according to The Hollywood Reporter. Other analysts are taking a less conservative approach, believing the film could earn near $50 million.

The Oscar-winning filmmaker’s latest has a solid chance of becoming the highest opener of his career, besting Inglorious Basterds‘ 2009 haul of $38.1 million. Even if the movie opens on the lower range of initial projections, don’t worry – Tarantino’s movies practically thrive on word-of-mouth and yield significant multiples at the box office. (The exception being 2015’s noble misfire, The Hateful Eight, which had a platform 70mm release before rolling out wide with an over three-hour running time.)

Hollywood, which stars Leonardo DiCaprio and Brad Pitt, has been one of the year’s most anticipated movies. The 1969-set film, which centers on DiCaprio’s has-been actor and his stunt double, played by Pitt, famously screened at this year’s Cannes Film Festival and garnered significant praise from critics. The movie currently has a 92 percent “Fresh” on Rotten Tomatoes.
