Jigsaw has added a Marvel hero to his list of new victims.<\/p>\n
Samuel L. Jackson will reportedly star opposite Chris Rock in Lionsgate’s\u00a0Saw<\/em> reboot, playing the father of Rock’s character. Rock is also getting a “Story by” credit<\/a> for the movie, which also stars Max Minghella (The\u00a0<\/em>Handmaid’s Tale<\/em>) and Marisol Nichols. Bloody Disgusting<\/a> had the scoop, which Lionsgate later confirmed via press release.<\/p>\n Rock plays a police\u00a0detective investigating a series of grisly crimes that all likely point back to Jigsaw. Minghella plays William Schenk, Rock\u2019s partner, and Rock’s boss, Captain Angie Garza, is played by Nichols.<\/p>\n Saw<\/em> veteran\u00a0Darren Lynn Bousman directs the new\u00a0Saw<\/em>, which started production this week with a script by\u00a0Pete Goldfinger and Josh Stolberg. There’s no word yet if Tobin Bell will reprise his role as the gruesome killer, but, c’mon \u2013 it’s\u00a0Saw<\/em>! The guy has to be in the movie.<\/p>\n The\u00a0Saw<\/em> franchise is horror’s latest to get the reboot treatment, and honestly, it could use one.
