Other analysts are taking a less conservative approach, believing the film could earn near $50 million.<\/p>\n<p>The Oscar-winning filmmaker&#8217;s latest has a solid chance of becoming the highest opener of his career, besting\u00a0<em>Inglorious Basterds<\/em>&#8216; 2009 haul of $38.1 million. Even if the movie opens on the lower range of initial projections, don&#8217;t worry \u2013 Tarantino&#8217;s movies practically thrive on word-of-mouth and yield significant multiples at the box office. (The exception being 2015&#8217;s noble misfire,\u00a0<em>The Hateful Eight<\/em>, which had a platform 70mm release before rolling out wide with an over three-hour running time.)<\/p>\n<p><em>Hollywood<\/em>, which stars Leonardo DiCaprio and Brad Pitt, has been one of the year&#8217;s most anticipated movies. The 1969-set film, which centers on DiCaprio&#8217;s has-been actor and his stunt double, played by Pitt, famously screened at this year&#8217;s Cannes Film Festival and garnered significant praise from critics. The movie currently has a 92 percent &#8220;Fresh&#8221; on Rotten Tomatoes.<\/p>\n<p>The hype for this title seems to be well earned.
