Wright co-wrote the movie with\u00a0<em>Penny Dreadful<\/em> scribe\u00a0Krysty Wilson-Cairns. In an interview with\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.empireonline.com\/movies\/news\/edgar-wright-next-film-psychological-horror-plus-baby-driver-2-update-exclusive\/\"><em>Empire Magazine<\/em><\/a>, the filmmaker said:\u00a0\u201cI realized I had never made a film about central London &#8212; specifically Soho, somewhere I\u2019ve spent a huge amount of time in the last 25 years. With\u00a0<em>Hot Fuzz<\/em>\u00a0and\u00a0<em>Shaun of the Dead<\/em>,\u00a0you make movies about places you\u2019ve lived in. This movie is about the London I\u2019ve existed in.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Once Wright wraps and releases\u00a0<em>Soho<\/em>, there&#8217;s a good chance he may turn his attention to\u00a0<em>Baby Driver 2<\/em>. A <a href=\"https:\/\/www.empireonline.com\/movies\/news\/edgar-wright-next-film-psychological-horror-plus-baby-driver-2-update-exclusive\/\">first draft of the movie<\/a> currently exists, and Wright tells\u00a0<em>Empire<\/em> it\u00a0\u201cintroduces a whole swath of new characters following the original\u2019s high body-count.&#8221; It&#8217;s up to studio Sony Pictures if and when they want to move forward with the sequel.<\/p>\n<p><em>Baby Driver<\/em> was one of the best movies of 2017, and it quickly became popular amongst Film Twitter and movie fans alike.
