Another week, another remake announcement. Pinhead’s Cenobite crew are next in line for a makeover as David S. Goyer has been tapped to pen \u201ca loyal, evolved reimagining\u201d of Clive Barker\u2019s sadistic\u00a0<\/a><\/span>Hellraiser<\/span><\/i>. Personally, hearing the words \u201cevolved reimagining\u201d makes me immediately think indie directors Justin Benson and Aaron Moorhead should be in charge given their grasp on existential dread, but we\u2019ll see what Goyer (<\/span>Blade: Trinity<\/span><\/i>,\u00a0<\/span>The Unborn<\/span><\/i>,\u00a0<\/span>Batman Begins<\/span><\/i>) brings to his \u201cdark and visceral\u201d bout of leathery masochism. I\u2019ll just be over here hoping Patrick Melton and Marcus Dunstan (<\/span>The Collector\u00a0<\/span><\/i>franchise, multiple\u00a0<\/span>Saw\u00a0<\/span><\/i>films,\u00a0<\/span>Feast\u00a0<\/span><\/i>franchise) someday get the shot at\u00a0<\/span>Hellraiser\u00a0<\/span><\/i>they deserve.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
