The month is one of the most crowded &#8212; and promising &#8212; slates ever in the history of summer movies.<\/p>\n<p>The Rock kicks off the end of summer with his\u00a0<em>Fast &amp; Furious<\/em> spinoff,\u00a0<em>Hobbs &amp; Shaw<\/em>, and a couple of foul-mouthed pre-teens wrap it up with their hilarious R-rated comedy,\u00a0<em>Good Boys<\/em>. Here&#8217;s your handy guide to all the movies you need to see before fall starts.<\/p>\n<h3>&#8216;Fast &amp; Furious Presents: Hobbs &amp; Shaw&#8217; (August 2)<\/h3>\n<p><strong>Cast: Dwayne Johnson, Jason Statham, Idris Elba, and Vanessa Kirby<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Director: David Leitch<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" width=\"1080\" height=\"608\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/PzCg9G3bjRs?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>If there&#8217;s anything better than a summer movie starring The Rock, we don&#8217;t wanna know about it.<\/p>\n<p>Dwayne Johnson&#8217;s Hobbs character from\u00a0<em>The Fast &amp; Furious\u00a0<\/em>movies gets his own spinoff, along with Jason Statham&#8217;s Shaw, as the two get into &#8220;how-the-hell-did-they-do-that?!&#8221; fisticuffs with Idris Elba&#8217;s &#8220;enhanced&#8221; villain. In the meta <a href=\"https:\/\/www.atomtickets.com\/movies\/madness-in-the-method\/294963\"><em>Madness in the Method<\/em><\/a>, Mewes, with the help of his buddy Kevin Smith, decides to change Hollywood&#8217;s perception of him by going full method. But as he embraces method acting, he slowly descends into madness.<\/p>\n<p>Mewes has been Smith&#8217;s long-time collaborator and co-star, but this is his feature directorial debut. Thanks to a broken system of justice, Banks is forced to serve years in prison. Once out of jail, with the help of Justin Brooks (Greg Kinnear) and the real-life\u00a0<span class=\"yZlgBd\">California Innocence Project, Banks fights to get his stolen future back and chase his dream to play for the NFL. Cute kid Jacob Tremblay leads the pint-size cast of R-rated 12-year-olds navigating pre-teen life when he is invited to his first kissing party.<\/p>\n<p>Tremblay and his friends steal their dad&#8217;s drone to help them spy on a couple making out and, naturally, quickly lose the drone. The three boys skip school to search for it and soon find themselves going down a road of increasingly bad (and funny) choices.
