Well, kind of.<\/p>\n<p>The\u00a0<em>Deadpool<\/em> star, who provides the voice of Pikachu in this Friday&#8217;s new release, shared a &#8220;pirated&#8221; copy of the summer movie on Twitter that turned out to be a prank designed to rickroll fans. Then,\u00a0<em>Pikachu<\/em>&#8216;s opening crane shot starts and &#8212; a minute into the footage &#8212; the scene suddenly transitions to the cute, yellow Pokemon aerobicizing on a dance floor. For 101 minutes.<\/p>\n<p>Reynolds loves an online viral sensation. That&#8217;s how the first\u00a0<em>Deadpool<\/em> movie helped become a thing, thanks to someone from the production&#8217;s camp leaking test footage of the character in R-rated, fourth-wall breaking action. The leaked footage was a huge hit with fans online, which prompted studio 20th Century Fox to greenlight the long-in-development project.<\/p>\n<p>The account that posted the\u00a0<em>Pikachu<\/em> leak has no other videos associated with it. So while we can&#8217;t 100 percent confirm Reynolds created it or the lone video, it&#8217;s a safe bet he or someone in his camp was behind this outside-the-box attempt to elevate the buzz on his new movie.
