For all the planners out there, you can now add your movie event to your phone\u2019s\u00a0calendar\u00a0so you always know what\u2019s on your agenda. Bonus: it\u2019s even smart enough to block off the run-time of the movie.\u00a0Never miss date night again.<\/p>\n

NEW INVITE FRIENDS PROCESS<\/h2>\n

Our beloved \u201cinvite friends without paying for them\u201d feature is one of the reasons why millions of movie fans love the Atom app. When you invite friends, they get a link that will take them to your exact showtime and even show where you\u2019re sitting (if seats are reserved). Then they can get their own ticket and pick their seat. Since everyone has their own ticket, there\u2019s no need to Venmo anyone back or wait for friends to arrive at the theater.<\/p>\n

We moved the invite\u00a0friends\u00a0option to post ticket purchase. Why, you ask? So that if you aren\u2019t inviting friends, you can get your tickets faster with less clicks. If you are inviting friends, simply tap the\u00a0handy\u00a0\u201cInvite Friends\u201d button on the ticket confirmation screen.<\/p>\n

Skip the Venmo by inviting friends to the movies without paying for them.<\/p><\/div>\n

Once you tap \u201cInvite Friends,\u201d your phone\u2019s share sheet will pop up and you can select how you want to send the invite<\/span><\/span>\u00a0(text or email)<\/span><\/span>. Even if your friends don\u2019t have Atom, they can still get a link and buy tickets.\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

NEW ASSIGN TICKETS PROCESS<\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/h2>\n

If you\u2019re the kind of person who likes to buy tickets for friends, then\u00a0<\/span><\/span>first of all<\/span><\/span>, can we be friends? Second,\u00a0<\/span><\/span>we\u2019ve got great news because\u00a0<\/span><\/span>now you can assign tickets to friends in your contacts before OR after you complete your order. When you assign a ticket, your friend gets sent a link with the QR code and showtime info. Simply tap the plus sign next to \u201cYour Guest\u201d to bring up your contact list. Choose who you want to send the ticket to and voila.\u00a0<\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The QR code screen also got a makeover. Tap \u201cView Your Ticket\u201d to see it<\/span><\/span>\u00a0and view the info you need to know like your showtime, auditorium, seats and QR code.\u00a0<\/span><\/span>This screen will automatically appear when you open the app at the theater (<\/span><\/span>as long as<\/span><\/span>\u00a0you have Location Services enabled). You can also tap \u201cAdd to Wallet\u201d (for iPhones) or \u201cSave to Phone\u201d (for Androids) to have your QR code handy.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n
