Even in Westeros.<\/p>\n<p><em>Star Wars<\/em> creator\u00a0George Lucas dropped by the set of\u00a0<em>Game of Thrones<\/em> to help direct the recent Season 8 premiere because he could.\u00a0Lucas was joined by\u00a0<em>GoT<\/em> showrunners David Benioff and D.B. Weiss, and HBO recently offered a glimpse of the filmmaking legend&#8217;s visit to the landmark series. Their project is rumored to be based on fan-favorite Star Wars RPG<em>\u00a0Knights of the Old Republic<\/em>. Lucasfilm President and\u00a0<em>Star Wars<\/em> producer Kathleen Kennedy recently <a href=\"https:\/\/www.slashfilm.com\/knights-of-the-old-republic-project-confirmed\/\">confirmed<\/a> at Star Wars Celebration that Lucasfilm is &#8220;developing something to look at&#8221; concerning the Old Republic.<\/p>\n<p>What we wouldn&#8217;t give to hear the advice Lucas gave them about that galaxy far, far away&#8230;<\/p>\n<p>Benioff and Weiss&#8217; project &#8212; along with Rian Johnson&#8217;s maybe-maybe-not-happening new trilogy &#8212; are set to take\u00a0<em>Star Wars<\/em> into the future once J.J. Abrams wraps up the current trilogy and the entire Skywalker saga with\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.atomtickets.com\/movies\/star-wars-the-rise-of-skywalker\/249997\"><em>Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker<\/em><\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><em>Episode IX<\/em> arrives in theaters on December 20.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Force is strong with this one.
