The movie will pick up with Connor after the events of 1991&#8217;s <em>T2<\/em>.\u00a0Also back for more Skynet-sanctioned havoc is Arnold\u00a0Schwarzenegger, reprising the role of the T-800 Terminator\u00a0 &#8212; albeit this time with more grey hair and a cool beard to go with some scarred-over battle damage.<\/p>\n<div style=\"width: 1090px\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-medium\" src=\"http:\/\/blog-proxy.atomtickets.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/04\/ArnoldTerminator1.jpg\" width=\"1080\" height=\"675\" \/><p class=\"wp-caption-text\">(Credit: Paramount)<\/p><\/div>\n<p><em>Deadpool<\/em> director Tim Miller is behind the camera this time around, with a story co-written by Cameron &#8212; which helps put the fans at ease after the misfires of previous sequels going back to 2003. The current state of the franchise is not lost on Miller, who recently told <a href=\"https:\/\/nordic.ign.com\/arnold-schwarzenegger\/24038\/news\/terminator-dark-fate-exclusive-photos-reveal-new-looks-at-ar\">IGN<\/a> in an interview that bringing the original characters back together from the first two <em>Terminator<\/em> installments was key:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>\u201cWhat makes or breaks a movie is whether I care about the characters when everything starts exploding,&#8221; Miller said. &#8220;And the fact that Linda came back makes this particular <em>Terminator<\/em> fresh, this story could only continue with her in the role of Sarah Conner. That\u2019s the most important thing for me. Linda reinvented this character in a way that both honors who she was before and brings something new to the role.\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Little is known about\u00a0<em>Dark Fate<\/em>&#8216;s plot, other than some of the movie is set in Los Angeles and will follow a new Terminator played by Gabriel Luna.\u00a0Mackenzie Davis,\u00a0Natalia Reyes,\u00a0and\u00a0Diego Boneta also star.<\/p>\n<p><em>Terminator: Dark Fate<\/em> hits theaters November 1.
