While the plot of Christopher Nolan’s next movie remains cloaked in the filmmaker’s usual shroud of mystery, we do know one actor expected to star in it: Robert Pattinson.<\/p>\n

Pattinson is in talks to have a leading role alongside\u00a0BlackKklansman<\/em><\/a>\u00a0star John David Washington, reports\u00a0Collider<\/a>. Washington and Pattinson will be the co-leads of the untitled film, and they will be joined by Elizabeth Debicki (Widows<\/em>), who was just cast as female lead.\u00a0Variety <\/a>got the scoop on that casting today.<\/p>\n

All three stars will reportedly be joined by a fourth character, to be played by an older actor (our money’s on that actor being Michael Caine, who has appeared in every Christopher Nolan movie since 2005’s\u00a0Batman Begins<\/em>, including a voice cameo in\u00a0Dunkirk<\/em>.)<\/p>\n

The script, which Nolan recently completed, is being kept under wraps because obviously, and all we know is that it is\u00a0\u201ca massive, innovative action blockbuster\u201d according to Variety<\/a>. The film will also be shown in IMAX theaters, as Nolan is a big fan of shooting his movies on the 70mm format. The Dark Knight<\/em> in 2008 served as Hollywood’s catalyst for exploring ways to shoot their blockbusters on the format.<\/p>\n

Nolan’s new movie, which is expected to begin production this summer, will be his first since 2017’s Dunkirk<\/em>. That WWII-set thriller was another IMAX experience that proved to be a hit with audiences, grossing an impressive $526 million worldwide at the box office. The movie also earned Nolan his first ever Best Director Oscar nomination.<\/p>\n

We have no idea if Washington and Pattinson are playing villains or heroes, but we do know we can’t wait to find out.<\/p>\n

Warner Bros. will release the movie on July 17, 2020. Plan accordingly.<\/p>\n
