Captain Marvel<\/a>\u00a0<\/em>has conquered the box office<\/a> like many a Marvel Studios blockbuster before it, and fans are leaving theaters happy \u2013 especially after watching the movie’s two end-credits scenes.<\/p>\n

The first, set in our current time,\u00a0(SPOILER WARNING: Stop reading now if you haven’t seen the movie!)\u00a0<\/strong>shows Carol arriving at Avengers HQ post-Snap after being paged by Nick Fury and the second, set earlier, features Goose the Cat coughing up the Tesseract on Nick Fury’s ’90s-era desk. That last tag, however, was\u00a0this close<\/em> to being something related to\u00a0Thor: Raganok<\/em> that would have made fans LOL for days.<\/p>\n

In an interview with\u00a0Empire<\/em><\/a>,\u00a0Captain Marvel<\/em> directors Anna Boden and Ryan Fleck shared that one of their early ideas for the second post-credits scene involved Yon-Rogg (Jude Law) making an accidental visit to the junk planet of Sakaar and home to Jeff Goldblum’s Grandmaster.<\/p>\n

\u201cThere was an idea on the table about having Jude Law [\u2026] emerge from his pod on Sakaar,\u201d revealed Fleck, \u201cand then have him look around and see the Devil\u2019s Anus behind him and wonder, \u2018Where the hell am I?’\u201d<\/p>\n

The filmmakers did not share why or how this idea was ultimately discarded in favor of a space cat coughing up an Infinity Stone like a hairball, but we’re happy with the scene we got \u2013 especially since it ties in well with the movie’s story and explains (finally) how Fury first got his hands on Loki’s most prized possession.<\/p>\n
