The only other two titles to pull that off were\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.atomtickets.com\/movies\/black-panther\/198436\"><em>Black Panther<\/em><\/a>, with a record-setting February opening of $202M in 2018, and 2008&#8217;s <em>Iron Man<\/em> ($102M).<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" width=\"1080\" height=\"608\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/1kCf4sypuZA?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>Fans can&#8217;t wait to see Carol Danvers (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.atomtickets.com\/movie-news\/captain-marvel-second-trailer-breakdown-easter-eggs\/\">and Goose the Cat, obvi<\/a>) finally arrive on the big screen, judging by the 109 million people that watched the film&#8217;s trailer in the first 24 hours. Expectations are high for Marvel&#8217;s latest release, as\u00a0the movie marks the studio&#8217;s first comic book blockbuster with a female lead. Marvel and their parent company, Disney, hope the film has a similar impact on audiences that rival DC&#8217;s\u00a0<em>Wonder Woman<\/em> had in Summer 2017.<\/p>\n<p>The biggest March opening weekends ever belong to Disney&#8217;s <em>Beauty and the Beast<\/em> remake ($174.7M) and Warner Bros.\/DC&#8217;s\u00a0<em>Batman v. Superman<\/em>, which opened with $166M.
