We’re still in the middle of the post-holiday lull at the movies; January hasn’t traditionally been a big month at the box office as moviegoers get back into the swing of things at work and school. Still, there are a few movies hitting theaters this week that will scratch the itch for heartwarming stories if that’s your thing.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The Inspirational Film<\/span><\/h1>\n

First, <\/span>The Upside<\/span><\/i><\/a>. This new comedy-drama from STX stars Bryan Cranston, Kevin Hart, and Nicole Kidman. It\u2019s an American remake of the 2011 French film titled <\/span>The Intouchables<\/span><\/i>, and it follows the story of a wealthy paraplegic (Cranston) who hires a former felon (Hart) as his caretaker.<\/span><\/p>\n

Directed by Neil Burger (<\/span>Limitless<\/span><\/i>, <\/span>Divergent<\/span><\/i>) and written by Jon Hartmere, <\/span>The Upside <\/span><\/i>looks like a lighthearted film about mismatched friendships between people of different backgrounds and class structures. So basically <\/span>Green Book<\/span><\/i>, but set in the modern day.<\/span><\/p>\n
