But finally, the wait is over&#8230;sort of. Today (that&#8217;s Monday if you&#8217;re reading this in the future, you crazy time travelers), Disney released a teaser trailer for the film and it&#8217;s, well, let&#8217;s just say it&#8217;s a <em>very<\/em> teasing tease.<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" width=\"1080\" height=\"608\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/QZ6Q0elxQfw?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>But even if you were hoping for more, it&#8217;s still delightful to once again see Woody, Buzz, Jessie, Slinky Dog, Mr. and Mrs. Potato Head, Rex, Hamm, the Squeeze Toy Aliens, and&#8230;and pipe cleaner spoon guy? Hold up, who is that? It&#8217;s a brand-new character, Forky! Forky is none too happy about being in the teaser video with the rest of the gang, adamantly convinced he is <em>not<\/em> a toy and doesn&#8217;t belong there. All the other toys, however, seem to think he does, with Woody telling someone to go fetch Forky and bring him back before he hurts himself. This looks to be not simply a throwaway joke for the teaser trailer, but an actual part of the story according to the synopsis Disney released:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>Everyone\u2019s favorite pull-string cowboy sheriff Woody, along with his best friends Buzz Lightyear and Jessie, are happy taking care of their kid, Bonnie, until a new toy called \u201cForky\u201d arrives in her room. According to Forky, a spork-turned-craft-project, he\u2019s not a toy at all\u2014and he\u2019d rather skip this big adventure completely, if only they\u2019d let him.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>The trailer might have been all too brief, but I already think Forky might be one of my favorite characters. If &#8220;I&#8217;m not even supposed to <em>be here<\/em>!&#8221; isn&#8217;t a mood for 2018, I don&#8217;t know what is. Does this mean we can expect an official, full-length trailer to follow soon?
