Our beloved webslingers are back in Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse<\/a><\/em><\/strong>, and this time, there are more than ever before. As we’ve seen from the trailers, not only are the original heroes back, but there are dozens, if not hundreds, of other Spider-People from across the multiverse. To help you keep track of who’s who, here’s our handy guide of returning Spider-Man heroes, new supporting characters, and everyone else. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Returning Spider-Heroes<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Miles Morales – Spider-Man<\/strong> (Shameik Moore)<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

After the events of the first movie, Miles Morales is now Brooklyn’s full-time friendly neighborhood Spider-Man. But when he’s sucked into the multiverse and finds himself at odds with the other Spider-People, he has to decide what kind of hero he wants to be.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Gwen Stacy – Spider-Woman (Hailee Steinfeld)<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Gwen returns as one of the OG Spider-Gang. Though she’s around Miles’ age, she’s been Spider-Woman in her universe for a few years longer, making her seem much wiser and older than her years. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Peter B. Parker<\/strong> – Spider-Man (Jake Johnson)<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Peter B. Parker, Miles’ reluctant mentor, is back and all grown up…sort of. He’s patched up his issues with MJ, settled down, and is even a dad. But as Miles learns, there comes a time when even trusted parental figures let you down.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

New Spider-Heroes<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Miguel O’Hara – Spider-Man 2099 (Oscar Isaac)<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Miguel O’Hara, a.k.a. Spider-Man 2099, was technically introduced in the post-credits scene of the first movie, but Across the Spider-Verse <\/strong>is where we get to know him. Miguel is from a future with advanced technology, and after monitoring the meeting of the Spider-Gang, he knows the multiverse’s collapse is inevitable. He’s being set up as the villain of the movie, but there’s more than meets the eye to him.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Jessica Drew – Spider-Woman (Issa Rae)<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Jessica Drew is one of the Spider-People summoned by Miguel to help protect the multiverse. She’s a complete badass, doing all of this while pregnant. But she also has to consider how much she’s willing to risk now that she’s also responsible for her future kid.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ben Reilly<\/strong> – Scarlet Spider (Andy Samberg)<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

In the comics, Ben Reilly is a clone of Peter Parker who was grown in a lab by one of Spider-Man’s villains, with the intention of being a weapon to be used against Peter Parker. Instead, Ben Reilly adopts the codename of Scarlet Spider and ends up becoming an ally of Peter’s and a hero in his own right.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Hobart “Hobie” Brown<\/strong> – Spider-Punk (Daniel Kaluuya)<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

In an alternate universe, Hobart “Hobie” Brown is one of the Spider-People, and the most punk of all. A bit of an anarchist, he embodies the spirit of punk, fighting The Man, authority, and corruption wherever and whenever he can. Even if he does it with a clenched fist and a foul mouth.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Margo Kess – Spider-Byte (Amandla Stenberg)<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Margo Kess (Earth-22191) is an entirely cyber Spider-Person who is part of Miguel O’Hara’s team. A college student, she protects the World Wide Web from cyber crimes in between her classes, with a suit that allows her to teleport across cyberspace.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Pavitr Prabhakar<\/strong> – Spider-Man India (Karan Soni)<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Pavitr is from an alternate universe in which Spider-Man hails from Mumbai, who gains his powers after being bitten by a mystical spider. In Across the Spider-Vers<\/em>e, however, he hails from a city known as Mumbattan, a fusion of Manhattan and Mumbai. His world is infused with the gorgeous culture of India, from artwork to language to his design.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
