The 95th Academy Awards have come and gone and the night was packed with comeback stories, lifetime achievements, and emotional speeches. The brain-bending Everything Everywhere All at Once<\/em> led the pack, winning 7 out of the 11 categories for which it was nominated. Those categories included Best Director for Daniel Kwan and Daniel Scheinert, Best Lead Actress for Michelle Yeoh, Best Supporting Actress for Jamie Lee Curtis, Best Supporting Actor for Ke Huy Quan, Best Original Screenplay for the Daniels, Best Editing for Paul Rogers, and the biggest prize of the night, Best Picture. The other big winner of the night was German film All Quiet on the Western Front<\/em>, which took home four awards by the time the night was finished, winning Best Cinematography for James Friend, Best International Feature Film, Best Production Design for Christian M. Goldbeck and Ernestine Hipper, and Best Score for Volker Bertelmann.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This awards season saw two fantastic Hollywood comeback stories with The Whale<\/em>‘s Brendan Fraser and the aforementioned Ke Huy Quan. Their dream season continued, with Quan’s win for Best Supporting Actor and Fraser taking home the Best Actor prize. Yeoh and Curtis also won their first Oscars, with the longtime Hollywood royalty both giving exuberant, tearful speeches. As Jimmy Kimmel emceed the night, there were plenty of other surprises and huge wins along the way.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
