Movie news is once again starting to flow, with us bringing you a few hand-picked stories we think you’ll like. Thanks to Marvel’s first Disney+ series, WandaVision, dropping this Friday, Kevin Feige has been doing the interview rounds so we have lots of Marvel news this week.

Let’s hop to it.

‘Deadpool 3’ Will Be Rated R & Part Of The MCU

Ever since it was confirmed Deadpool 3 is in the works from Marvel, fans have wondered two things: One, would the script being penned by Wendy and Lizzie Molyneux be rated R and two, would it be part of the MCU proper? Marvel Studios head honcho Kevin Feige spoke with Collider and confirmed: Yes and yes. As Feige said

“It will be rated R and we are working on a script right now, and Ryan’s overseeing a script right now… It will not be [filming] this year. Ryan is a very busy, very successful actor. We’ve got a number of things we’ve already announced that we now have to make, but it’s exciting for it to have begun. Again, a very different type of character in the MCU, and Ryan is a force of nature, which is just awesome to see him bring that character to life.”

After playing it safe for over a decade with their movies, it appears Marvel is ready to get a little more daring in tone and Feige, for one, is on board.

Don’t Rule Out The Marvel Netflix Characters In The MCU

A few months ago, unconfirmed reports broke that Charlie Cox would be reprising his role of Daredevil from the Marvel Netflix universe in Spider-Man 3. In the extended version of that same Collider interview, when asked directly whether or not the rumors were true, Feige got cagey, as is his way. “We’ll see,” he smiled. However, in a THR interview, he was fairly clear in indicating that Marvel hadn’t completely shut the door on the Netflix characters finding their way to the movies and Disney+ series in the future. “Everything is on the board,” Feige said. “That’s one of the fun things about the comics is that characters would appear and disappear and come and go. All of it is inspiration for the future. There are some great characters and actors from those shows.” Honestly, coming from the tight-lipped Feige, that’s as good as confirmation there have already been at least exploratory talks between the studio and the Netflix actors. He’s not one to shy away from giving a hard “no” when that’s the answer. Could we see Daredevil, Jessica Jones and the rest again? Exciting times indeed.

Chadwick Boseman’s Wife Simone Accepts Posthumous Award On His Behalf

On Monday, the late actor Chadwick Boseman received a posthumous Actor Tribute at the Gotham Awards ceremony. Before awarding the honor to Boseman, the Gotham Awards said in a statement, “Chadwick Boseman was an incredibly talented actor whose significance and impact onscreen and kindness offscreen will never be forgotten… we are proud to honor him and all of his historical and groundbreaking contributions with this tribute.” In a touching tribute, Boseman’s wife, Simone Ledward Boseman, accepted the award on behalf of her late husband. It already has a star-studded cast, and now it has a slightly different look. Deadline reports that Michael Peña is taking over the role of wealthy car dealer Tom Lopez, which had previously cast Stanley Tucci in the role. Unfortunately, the Tooch had to bow out due to government-imposed travel restrictions banning U.K. flights to Canada (the film is doing on-location shots in Los Angeles but sound stage filming in Montreal). The talented Peña joins an already stacked cast that includes Halle Berry, Patrick Wilson, John Bradley, Eme Ikwuakor, Charlie Plummer, Donald Sutherland, and newcomer Carolina Bartczak, who will play Tom Lopez’ wife. Along with Peña, two other actors have been newly cast: Maxim Roy playing “a hardened Army captain whose fighting spirit helps position our heroes to save the world” and Stephen Bogaert as NASA Director Albert Hutchings. This one is sure to be a ton of fun.

‘To All The Boys: Always And Forever’ Drops A Trailer

The third and final film in the To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before trilogy has just released its trailer.
