Hollywood was on temporary pause but productions are gearing back up, release dates continue to be tweaked<\/a> in preparation for theaters reopening, and things are slowly starting to return to normal \u2013 or at least, our temporary new normal. Entertainment news has once again begun to drop with regularity. In case you missed it, here\u2019s all the best news and tidbits from the last week.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2018Stranger Things\u2019 Star Dacre Montgomery & More Join Baz Luhrmann\u2019s Elvis Biopic<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Production on Baz Lurhmann’s Elvis Presley biopic, which was halted earlier this year, is now back up and running in Australia. To that end, the production added a few more names to the list, rounding out casting for the film, which is set to hit theaters next November. Stranger Things<\/em> star Dacre Montgomery and Lord of the Rings<\/em> actor David Wenham, as well as Richard Roxburgh and Helen Thomson, were added in major roles. Roxhburgh and Thomson will play Presley’s parents, Vernon and Gladys, while Montgomery will be playing TV producer and director Steve Binder. Wenham, meanwhile, will play country music star Hank Snow. Also being added to the cast are Natasha Bassett, Xavier Samuel, Leon Ford, Kate Mulvany, Gareth Davies, Charles Grounds, Josh McConville, Luke Bracey, and Adam Dunn. They join Austin Butler, who had previously been cast in the titular role, Tom Hanks as Colonel Tom Parker and Olivia DeJonge as Priscilla Presley.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Marvel Has Officially Found Their She-Hulk \u2013 And It\u2019s A Fantastic Bit Of Casting<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

While Marvel movies might keep getting pushed back, the Marvel TV series for Disney+ are moving full-steam ahead and the latest project to get fit a major piece of its puzzle is She-Hulk<\/em>. Namely, the puzzle piece of its titular character. Orphan Black <\/em>and Perry Mason<\/em> star Tatiana Maslany has been cast as Jennifer Walters, a.k.a. She-Hulk. The fan-favorite actress is a great fit for the fan-favorite character; Maslany has shown herself to be an actress that can project strength and competence, both necessary for the role of Walters, a confident, high-powered lawyer and superhero. While she’ll debut in her series on Disney+, Marvel Studios head Kevin Feige has already previously stated that most of these new Marvel characters being introduced on Disney+ will eventually make their way to the movies, as well. It will be exciting to see what Maslany does with the character on screens both big and small. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

J.K. Simmons Explains Why The MCU Version Of J. Jonah Jameson Rocks A Bald Head<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

When fans saw J.K. Simmons’ cameo appearance reprising his role of J. Jonah Jameson in the post-credits scene of Spider-Man: Far From Home<\/em>, they were overjoyed. But one question remained and that was: Why didn’t he have JJJ’s iconic flat-top? Simmons revealed that the bald look he rocked was the result of a compromise between him and Marvel Studios, as the only place they disagreed was on the subject of how much of his character should be based on his previous roles in the Sam Raimi movies and the comics and how much of it should be completely updated for a modern audience. It was an interesting observation from the actor, who revealed earlier this summer he has at least one more appearance as the former Daily Bugle<\/em> publisher in the can, with at least one more planned after that.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Two Ruth Bader Ginsburg Movies Back In Theaters To Honor The Late Supreme Court Justice<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

With the seismic waves left in the wake of Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsberg’s passing, Focus Features and Magnolia Pictures have teamed up for a tribute to the longtime Supreme Court justice, champion of women’s rights, civil rights advocate and cultural icon. Both distributors will be rereleasing their Ginsburg-centric features in theaters this Friday, biopic On the Basis of Sex<\/em> for Focus and documentary RBG<\/em> for Magnolia. The movies will also be available on-demand and all proceeds from the box office will go to the American Civil Liberties Union Foundation in support of its Women\u2019s Rights Project. Simultaneously, they’re launching the #ThankYouRuth social tribute campaign allowing fans to share their stories honoring and reflecting upon Ginsberg’s legacy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
