During their talk, he revealed a surprising bit of information: His new movie Free Guy, which is now scheduled to hit theaters in December, is his favorite movie he’s ever worked on. Yes, that includes both Deadpool movies. While there’s no director attached yet (though rumors are swirling around Disney stalwart Jon Favreau), the Russos have already decided they’ll approach remaking Hercules the same way they have the Marvel films they’ve produced and directed. It will honor the original animated movie but not be a direct translation of it like some of Disney’s previous live-action remakes. Personally, we think that’s the right call.

‘Fantastic Four’ Director Josh Trank Looks Back On Superhero Movies & Success Too Early

Director Josh Trank had an infamous public fall from grace five years ago with Fantastic Four. He went away for the past five years and took that time to grow and figure out where he fit into Hollywood. Now, with his newest movie, Capone, hitting streaming and on-demand, he’s on a comeback press tour and giving some of the most candid and self-reflective interviews you’ll ever read.

Disney Is Just Fine With Its July Release Date For ‘Mulan,’ Thank You

There’s been plenty of speculation as to whether or not Disney will keep the new July 24 release date for Mulan. But newly-minted CEO Bob Chapek spoke to CNBC that they have no plans to bump it again, explaining that it’s a matter of balancing public health and safety with the pent-up desire people have to see movies again. Interestingly, he also pointed out that even in normal times, theaters are only filled to about 25% capacity 5 days a week, so safety precautions would really get tricky on Fridays and Saturdays and possibly Sunday afternoons. We’ll see if that changes.

Quentin Tarantino Is Still Kicking Around Ideas For A ‘Kill Bill Vol. 3’

It seems like Quentin Tarantino has been talking about a potential Kill Bill Vol. 3 for years now. Vivica A. Fox, who played Vernita Green in Kill Bill Vol. 1, recently reignited those rumors in an interview with THR to promote her upcoming film, Arkansas. But they did touch upon a potential third Kill Bill movie and she revealed that the latest she’d heard, Tarantino and Uma Thurman were kicking around ideas for a third movie based on Vernita’s daughter, Nikki, going on a mission of revenge for her mother. Could it be Tarantino’s tenth and supposedly final film?

‘Hamilton’ Is Coming Early To Our Screens & Heading To Disney+

In February, we got a fun bit of news when Lin-Manuel Miranda revealed that his transcendent Broadway musical, Hamilton, would be coming to theaters courtesy of Disney in October 2021. But the global pandemic has changed everything and so LMM and Disney have decided to gift us with Hamilton early, announcing the musical will no longer be hitting theaters but dropping directly on Disney+ on July 3rd. If we have to spend 4th of July weekend indoors, there are few better ways to do that than with Hamilton.

Robert Pattinson Is (Barely) Surviving Quarantine In The Most Hilarious Way

Lastly, Zach Baron of GQ did a lengthy and honestly incredible interview with The Batman and Tenet actor Robert Pattinson. The entire thing is worth a read, but the highlight was when Pattinson tried to show Baron over Skype how he makes what he calls “piccolini cuscino,” little pasta pillows meant to be held in the hand that he is convinced he can market as a restaurant concept. It was a disaster and the quirky actor ended up lighting his glove on fire and melting it and exploding his microwave and almost burning down his apartment. Seriously, just…read it.
