Specifically, these are January, February, August, and sometimes September. You\u2019ll notice they come after either the holidays, when families can go to the movies together, or after summer vacation when,\u00a0y\u2019know\u2026families can go to the movies together. Originally slated to be released last September, the film was pulled after two events: the shootings at Dayton and El Paso and the subsequent criticism from none other than\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/realDonaldTrump\/status\/1159898199802425344\">Donald Trump himself<\/a>. Now, six months later, the satirical take on Richard Connell\u2019s\u00a0<em>The Most Dangerous Game<\/em>\u00a0is finally getting a release and the consensus is that it\u2019s a f*cking\u00a0blast! Yes, he may be known best for the\u00a0<em>Fast and Furious<\/em>\u00a0franchise but let\u2019s not forget his turns in the\u00a0Riddick\u00a0films, his fantasy\/action vehicle\u00a0<em>The Last Witch Hunter<\/em>,\u00a0or his voicework in the\u00a0<em>Guardians of the Galaxy<\/em>\u00a0films as well as\u00a0<em>The Iron Giant<\/em>. Now Diesel is back in the world of superheroes but this time he\u2019s a little\u2026dead.<\/p>\n<p>Now, some may try and say that this film isn\u2019t \u201chorror\u201d but I\u2019d love to know what else to call a movie about a resurrected soldier who can get blown to smithereens and pull himself back together just in time to administer a can of glorious whoop ass. Great writing, great direction, and great presentation all combined to\u00a0offer one of the scariest and anxiety-inducing horror films in recent memory. So, naturally, a sequel was inevitable.<\/p>\n<p>After spending time with the Abbott family on their picturesque farm (y\u2019know, minus the monstrosities roaming the corn fields and all), it\u2019s only natural to want to see what happens next. Turns out there are more survivors and they\u2019re willing to do whatever it takes in order to survive, <a href=\"https:\/\/atomtickets.com\/movie-news\/is-cillian-murphy-good-or-bad-in-a-quiet-place-2\/\">even if it means letting go of their humanity<\/a>. It has that perfect blend of charming, even quirky imagery that hides something sinister beneath its paper-thin veneer. What makes this movie so fascinating is that it\u2019s such a harsh look at what was once the ideal: the nuclear family. For some, that\u2019s the perfect way to live life. For others, and this is specifically what\u00a0<em>Vivarium<\/em>\u00a0is all about, it\u2019s the ultimate nightmare. No, we didn\u2019t have anything to do with making it, we\u2019re just the distributors.<\/p>\n<p>That being said, we\u2019re very proud to bring this UK production to North American shores and we think genre fans are going to have a blast with it. After all, who doesn\u2019t love watching Richard Brake (<em>31, Batman Begins<\/em>) be super creepy or people in a grimy, grungy basement get tortured?
